The friendly tournament “Football unites us” took place today at the Football House, where the National Team of veterans of Albania, Kosovo and a representative of the Diaspora in Belgium took part.
The tournament, conceived as a triangolare, has been a real football celebration with many generations of famous former footballers who have written history over the years and who have returned to the field to join together in this special activity.
The Albanian Football Federation together with the Kosovo Football Veterans League have organized this tournament as the three teams each played two matches of 40 minutes each. Present were the president of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Agim Ademi, the former President of the Republic of Albania, Alfred Moisiu, as well as representatives of the AFL, the FFK and the Albanian diaspora in Belgium.
The veteran national team of Albania, led by Sulejman Mema, in this activity consisted of the following former footballers: Isli Hidi, Andi Lila, Erion Xhafa, Nevil Dede, Arjan Pisha, Luan Pinari, Gilman Lika, Fjodor Xhafa, Altin Lala, Jahmir Hyka, Bledar Mancaku, Elvis Sina, Dorian Bylykbashi, Endri Vrapi, Migen Memelli, Gentian Muça, Renato Arapi, Igli Allmuça, Sabien Lilaj, Bledar Shkëmbi, Vioresin Sinani.
The red and black team has long been organized, preparing and holding training sessions regularly to participate in tournaments and friendly matches.
The “Football brings us together” tournament started at 17:00 with the opening match between Albania and the Belgian Diaspora, which ended with a 2-1 victory. The goals for the Reds and Blacks were scored by Fjodor Xhafa and Gentjan Muça, while all the footballers who were invited were activated.
The second match, that of Kosovo – Diaspora of Belgium, ended with the victory of Kosovo 1-0, while the last duel Albania-Kosovo ended with the result 5-1 in favor of the Reds and Blacks with the goals scored by Jahmir Hyka (2), Renato Arapi , Migen Memelli and Gilman Lika.
