New Mexico State Police have confirmed they are investigating a Saturday night shooting in Red River, New Mexico, northeast of Albuquerque.

State police called the scene “active” and said more information would be released as it becomes available.

“Several” people were shot, according to KRQE-TV, citing the Red River Fire Department.

The city’s annual motorcycle meeting was being held at the time of the shooting, but it’s not known if it’s related to the celebration, KRQE said.
