Un-ending atrocities of India In Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and The malicious Attempt of Holding G-20 Summit

The Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been a contentious area for decades, with India trying to implement its fascist designs in the valley. The region has been the site of ongoing conflict and human rights abuses, and the Indian government’s recent decision to hold a G-20 summit in the region has been met with criticism from human rights organizations and political leaders.

The Indian government’s actions in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been widely criticized for their human rights implications. In August 2019, the Indian government revoked the region’s special status, which granted it a degree of autonomy from the central government. This move was followed by a communications blackout and the arrest of political leaders and activists in the region.

Since then, the Indian government has been accused of a range of human rights abuses in Jammu and Kashmir, including extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detention, torture, and restrictions on freedom of expression and assembly. The region has also seen a rise in militarization, with an estimated 1,000,000 Indian security forces stationed in the area.

Human rights organizations and political leaders around the world have called for an end to the abuses and for greater international attention on the situation in the region. The decision to hold a G-20 summit in Jammu and Kashmir has been met with criticism from every corner of the world, with an argument that Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a territory having a special status so holding a G-20 summit over there is out of context.

The G-20 is a group of the world’s 20 largest economies, which together represent more than 80% of global GDP. The annual summit brings together heads of state and government to discuss global economic issues, and is typically held in one of the member countries. However, Jammu and Kashmir is not a member of the G-20 and is not recognized as an independent state by the international community. As such, holding a summit in the region is clearly a violation of international law.

Furthermore, the human rights abuses and restrictions on freedom of expression and assembly in the region could make it difficult for protesters and civil society organizations to express their views and engage in peaceful demonstrations during the summit.

The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is a complex and contentious issue, with no easy solutions. However, the Indian government’s actions in the region have been widely criticized for their human rights implications, and holding a G-20 summit in the region could be seen as legitimizing these actions.

It’s important for the international community to pay attention to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir and to call for an end to human rights abuses in the region. While the G-20 summit may provide an opportunity for global leaders to engage on economic issues, it should not come at the expense of human rights and the rule of law.
